The Brief

With their heart set on a new functional kitchen layout, this client sought to improve the kitchen and living space in their Horsham home in an ultramodern style.

With a change in circumstance due to Covid-19, work from home space was of increased importance, with this client also seeking to include high-tech appliance options for convenience.

Design Elements

To adjust the layout to suit these clients, as part of his design George proposed blocking and creating a new doorway. This made space for a full-height run of units with worktop space and room for the high-tech appliances this client wished to include.

The furniture used is from German supplier Nobilia’s Touch range, which uses a super-matt finish opted for in a satin grey finish. In homage to the technologic theme, an electric blue splashback has been incorporated.

To provide plentiful work from home space, a sizeable island has been included and is topped with glistening quartz work surfaces for hard-wearing durability. An additional run of units provides extra half-depth storage.

Special Inclusions

To suit the technologic style designer George recommended a handless theme for this kitchen space which has been used throughout. A stainless steel rail sits beneath the work surface, to provide space for operation. To add to the aesthetic, LED striplighting highlights the rail around the island area.

Project Highlight

The impressive highlight of this project is the high-tech array of appliances.

To make daily tasks easier, a Quooker flex boiling water tap, equipped with sparkling and filter chilled water, Bora venting hob and a high specification of Neff appliances have been included.

The End Result

The end result of this project is one that delivers on all the briefs of the project, with a new adjusted and functional layout, technologic appliances plus a striking and vibrant ultramodern theme.
